A New trophy this year,
2011 The Apollo Players have donated the Ruth Perrett Award to the Avon Festival this year in memory of our much-loved member who was always a keen supporter of the festival; either appearing in productions (and on several occasions winning the Best Actress Trophy) or supporting the Festival by acting as a steward or working Front of House. She will be greatly missed this year. The trophy will be for the best interpretation of costume. Ruth always managed to produce great costumes from very little resources – we did briefly wonder if it should be for the most imaginative use of rip-stop nylon in a production, but thought that would be too specific! |
